Take it to the local police station as someone might have reported it missing - maybe a bank was robbed or something.

I don't know about you but I would go to Brazil and bone a whole bunch of hot chicks and get drunk and faded and go party all night long and bone some more chicks and get faded some more and buy things and stuff!!! lol j/k . Actually, I would try to do something productive with that money since it came out of nowhere and I didn't have to work for it. I'd probably invest it and if I don't make any profit, I'll still be ok with it 'cause I never had to earn it in the first place.

Try to find the owner and if you can't, take it to the police station. If you or they can find the owner, hopefully you would get a nice reward as thank you from the owner. If you and the police can't, I believe the way it works is after a year, what you found becomes yours to keep. Either way, you can certainly come out on top.

Make a resonable attempt at finding the owner,. If it comes out that you get to keep it, spend some of it on yourself WISELY (classes, training, invest a little piece) and give some of it to charity. Reserve a little bit for a nice splurge though!

morally u should hand it in to the police so the owner can claim it back. u would be given this if after 28 days if it is not claimed.
however like most people u would just go home with it and keep the money for urself. thats what i would do because whoever has that kinda money to lose in cash is not in need so i wopuld just spend , spend , spend

Make sure it is real and not a scam. If it is real then donate some to a charity of your choice so
you can take the deduction at tax time. Pay off all of your bills and invest the rest for your old age.

Well, if I had seen someone on the news saying they lost it ,i'd give it back ,but I wouldn't give it to the police *too many dirty cops* So I guess if noone reported it in a week or so I would get my self the hell out of debt * Oh, & give some to my granny!!!

I shall want to spend it, but shall probably find myself driven by guilt and fear straight to the nearest police station.

My nephew once asked me the same question and I told him about the golden rule "do onto others as you would yourself". What if it was your money, wouldn't you want someone to return it?
