They've got there own unique sound and style yet they sound amasingly like early BeeGee's and Elton John, let's face it "Return to Oz" could have come straight from "Good bye Yellow Brick Road", so I guess people find some familiar yet new songs and sounds a safe option. I know loads of people who have the same feelings regarding the Scissor Sisters, that being, i'm not the worlds biggest fan, but they are very catchy tunes, and yes, I don't mind them at all.
Maybe they've just got a little bit of the so called "X-Factor" that people go on about so much, you can't deny that they are showmen (and women)

Well, they kind of have their own sound, which is not really like any other bands out there. In this world of over-processed music defined & directed by media conglomerates, I think that is good.

Listen to Take Your Mama and it makes you feel happy... but not the new song though, that's not worth listening to!

there music aint miserable or boring like a lot of the stuff in the charts, they're more upbeat and party like
