It was confirmed last March by the Associated Press, that the Medocino Tree ( a coast redwood) is the tallest known tree in the world. It is located In Montgomery Wood States Reserve near Ukiah It is 367 feet 6 inches- that about five stories higher than the Statue of Liberty. If it is the tallest in the world than it must be the tallest in California too since it is located there.
