some sort of preliminary testing prior to allowing users to ask questsions might be helpful. A personality test to ensure a good sense of humor. A brain scan to make sure the person actually has a brain. An IQ test to make sure the person is intelligent enough to answer questions with something other than the "2 points" answers, and an anger management test to make sure that the person has control of their temper and are less likely to report people or hate on people for no reason. ;-)

Prior to asking, members must first be encouraged to do at least one of the following:

- take an I Q test

- spend 5 minutes in a child care facility

- piss of a neighbor

- try and make a boxed dinner from scratch

- refrain from house cleaning for 3 weeks

- visit a federal penetentiary/ serve jury duty

- attempt to sqeeze something the size of a bowling ball into something else the size of a vacuum hose

- befriend someone totally insane

- inflict intentional personal injury to self

- do something nice for someone you hate

- do something mean to someone you like

- get advise from someone who isn't a complete dumbass

- get advise from someone who IS a complete dumbass and do the opposite

- get married

- have children

- neglect one of the two previous entities

- if someone has ever told you "I strongly advise against..."- DO THAT!

- cheat and go to another Q & A forum for creative questions

- find something else to do besides Y!A

- just kidding about that last one

- mostly

- mandatory drug/ alcohol screening before logging on (of course the results must test positive)

- watch or read something irritationg that you normally would never- like Barney

All askers should go through an American Idol type audition with judges Barbara Walters, Tickle-Me Elmo and Average Joe deciding whether the question has merit in categories such as humor, satire, innuendo, legitimate, opinion, information and intelligent..All questions with Cyber Abbreviations or misspelled words would be automatically disqualified

Participants should be prescreened. They should exhibit a combination on intelligence, wit, compassion, politeness, and simple human decency. After a closely scrutinized probationary period, they should be allowed full rights and privileges - *and* be required to maintain high standards of conduct when they are here. They should be judged by an elected panel of their peers: people who can be trusted with this kind of responsibility. People like you (and a few others i could name).

y don yahoo conduct a test. quality question come from quality users. Yahoo can prepare a set of test for users. But it's a sort of community entertainment. who care?

there should be and Y!A questions 'bag 'em and tag 'em' squad that would routinely go around performing summary executions on invidivudals whose questions were not up so a set of arbitrary standards... this 'sqaud' would execute and tag the offenders for removal... thus ensuring the quality would go up while the number of questions would go WAY down...

All you need to do is to stay up all night(as I have today) and then ask questions using quotes from your favorite television show(as I have been doing) or movie. Then, drink lots of caffinated beverages(as I also do) and wait for everyone else to show up(as...well....)

Basically just do everything that I'm doing!
