*cough* *cough* PS3 *cough* I want to but I mean geez! I could buy an OK car for that amount! Not to mention the games are going to be like 60-70 dollars each. MEH!

I would never pay that much for a game console or that much for games! That's why I've always chosen Nintendo. Their products are cheap, and they last forever(with me at least)! I can still play my NES after over 20 years since it was made.

I'm thinking that only Sony fanboys and hardcore gamers are gonna be the first adopters of the PS3 due to it's initial price. I'm definitly gonna buy it as MGS 4 and DMC 4 and the new Warhawk are coming, but I'm only gonna buy it if they're launch games as they might be. Otherwise I'll wait till they are released.
And yea, the PS3 costs more than I paid for my current car. Heh.

well probably the 340,000 people that already pre-paid for theirs - but it's not just a game console. it will play high def blu-ray dvds which a blu-ray player alone is around 1000. They are turning more into computers then just game consoles - and yeah, the games are expensive. Just like gasoline, until we stop buying them the price will never come down.

I like the idea of waiting a year or two
I just recently upgraded to xbox (the first one) from 2d emulators on my PC. Its all about gameplay, people. The shiniest graphics on a sucky game, is still a sucky game.

Smart people who don't have to appease screaming spoiled brats wait a year or two til the price goes down, and then we can buy all the hot releases used. Makes much more sense.

Definitely not. When I got my PS2 it was $300 and that was a lot of dough then.
