I think that one cannot develop much for one day but he/she has to work day by day, month by month and so on?

By working I mean to work hard to develop ourselves. it is not limited to job but to all activities even to dreams.
Nothing significant cannot be done for one day.
For success overnight we need to work 15 years day by day.

Significant developments can be made in a 24 hour period, however the trick is to sustain them. For instance making a change in ones habits to improve health will have some positive results in one day but if not continued beyond that point ones health will return to it's former state or worse. A person can increase their knowledge by studying during a 24 hour period, but wisdom is the product of applying that knowledge. A fly's life span is only one day.
