No. All you have to do is see the lines at the local movie cineplex to convince yourself that people are attracted to violence and mayhem. It is absolutely impossible for us to stop killing each other.

This is the 31st answer, and all the others are 'no'. I'm going to say that there is a good chance.
Our reason for being on the planet is to evolve, and eventually sufficient people will evolve sufficiently enough to be able to control their animal tendencies.
We will have very different governments, with, as someone intelligently mentioned, no secret services, and the greedy Illuminati who currently control the planet will be put in their place (either hell, or solitary confinemnt dependent on your views.
Do you actually know anybody who really wants to kill someone else? Its not a natural human feeling, except when we allow ourselves to be controlled by the few psychotics who enjoy wars and murder.

So far history has proved that "humans" will continue to behave like animals, and kill each other for land and money and many other unnecessary reasons. When a justice system has been built around the fact that some murders are "legal", then it will really never end, and when the government supports death penalties then this circle will never end.

i hope so eventually? but its unlikely there are some very vengeful people out there in high powered positions in this world. wars are avoidable but the facts are rich countries actually believe the occupants of poorer countries are expendable when it comes to oil an money! the value of human life should be the same no matter where Ur from. in the old saying goes 2 wrongs do not make a right. but I'm only one voice so me shouting that don't make a difference but if "we" the ordinary people of this world spoke up 4 those who don't have a voice we probably could make a difference. but its the same old crap" if it don't affect me i don't want to know"

Its unlikely, The best we can hope for is a dramatic drop in the amount of human killing. Unfortunately we like many animals are territorial only in humans its spills over into cultural and religious territories and just about anything else you can think of.

No we are born killers. Any excuse to kill, religion, land rights, race, greed. The list is endless. Melanie Safka wrote 'There's a chance peace will come in our lives, please buy one' I'm afraid it's a nice sentiment but impossible to achieve.

Not a chance. It is so deep rooted in our psyic(sp?)
that killing is a part of us. It is part of our
genetic make-up. Mankind needs to really evolve
before we can even begin to entertain that concept.

Yes. We have to find aliens first though.
That way we can focus on killing them.
