I suppose the West would have to change some of its regulations that disadvantage poor farmers in the third world if only to keep them there!

Terrorists would have free access to the whole world and they would be able to spread their religious fundamentalism further across the world. Although if economic development is more wide spread, there will be fewer poor people to convince; however since a lot of the recent terrorists have been British middle class, maybe some people would still prefer the fundamentalist route.

International laws would have to be created that would serve in every nation in every situation. Ideally, no one would be above the law.

In some aspects people would lose their power of choice because the concept of government would be far removed from the community and the individual as decision making would have to be done at a more international level.....

A personal hope is that all nations would have to become more responsible and accountable in terms of the environement - especially the United States of America.

It sounds like a nice ideal, but I think it would allow predator nations to move around even more freely in their attempts to control the wealth and resources of others. Although, with modern technology and weapons, borders are becomming less effective in protecting nations every day.

Sometimes I wonder if there are any real effective borders. Some countries don`t seem to respect them and invade wherever it suits them in the name of democracy and freedom. Some liars....
