My name is Aicha. It's an African name and it means Life. My name is very common in Northern Africa and parts of Asia, especially the countries where a lot of Muslims live. It's a name that lots of Muslims give to their daughters because Aicha is the name of the favorite wife of the Prophet Mohammed. I'm the only girl my parents have and they had to wait a long time before they had themselves a baby girl. Because many things went wrong during the time that my Mother was delivering me and this made everybody convinced that I would be still born they named me Aicha out of gratitude and out of their faith.
