I went with the military to pay for college. Did my two years and got out and went to school. It was a great experience.

I chose the military while in High School. I figured that I needed to get a life and leave my home state (Westerville, Ohio). I wanted to be more authentic. I wasn't sure what i wanted but I also knew that college was an expensive way to find yourself. I got money for college and experience to weather any kind of difficulty and more focus and appreciation for college. I went to college a couple of years after getting out of the military.
But in college I still had to find myself but i was much further into the game than most being more focused and knowing more of what I wanted. At this stage be flexible and patient with yourself and explore.
if you are not sure about the military and are looking for great experience and money for college I would suggest Americorps. It is the domestic version of the Peace Corps that you can do in your state or in another part of the country. you get paid and earn college money. Good choice with less of a commitment (1 year) and less dangerous.

I choose college... the military wouldnt touch me with a ten foot pole... I dont run or take orders well from scary people in military outfits... though I do respect those in the military, definatly I would end up going insane.

If you join the military they will pay for your college and you will get to see the world all while being paid

neither, i just started my own business with all that money that was going to be wasted on college. For some of those fancy colleges you could actually just invest the tuition money and come out ahead. Some people need more education and college is for them.

I chose college because I had too many good things going for me at the time.......but flying a 20 million dollar jet would hard to pass up if I saw an opportunity.

Are you in Canada? if american, I don't know what you guys do but I plan on joining the military so they can pay for my College.
