YES, go ahead and put methanol in the tires, fill the buggers up with the methanol. And Darwin thanks you in advance for taking yourself out of the gene pool!

First of all you do not need to put methanol in a tractor tire. If you need more weight on the rear of a tractor (ie, farm tractor) use water. Or purchase weights to go inside the wheels.

Both of your choices are very unwise. Methanol is flamable, corrosive, and does not react well with most rubbers. Plus, it'll poison your crops if it leaks out. Pure calcium is reactive, flamable, and cannot be put out without a Class D fire extinguisher.

Calcium carbonate powder, though, would be pretty safe. I would recommend water or lead shot.

Methanol is a solvent and would probably corrode a tire over time and adding ANY liquid to a tire will make it perform very differently (badly) It also is combustible.

Calcium is a better choice but I guess but it would help to know WHY you want to do this.

Methanol, being a VOC, Volatile organic compound, could cause a reaction with the rubber compounds of the tires. I don' t see how calcium could do that.

some extreeme truck competitors(the ones with 4-wheel steering and such that climb rocks) use buck shot. but there is a foam that most industrial tire comanies use to add weight. my boss wont do it altho because he thinks it is hard on the suspension, he has a pettybone 6044 with hydrolic suspension and i dont think it could get any rougher than it already is.
