you could ask " name one interesting thing about yourself "
or maybe think of a letter and ask everyone for something that belongs to them beginning with that letter ...I assume its for a new class ?

there are alreasdy qwuite a few funny ones posted . i dont have any to add that are better. humour is always the best way to break the ice. have you seen the nightclub scene in eddie murphy's coming to america - i would love to use some of those as ice-breakers !

I always liked the one 'if you were an animal, what would you be and why?' And I hated those sitting in a cicle getting to know each other whatsits at school/college/uni!
