The Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response sometimes seen in an abducted hostage, in which the hostage exhibits loyalty to the hostage-taker, in spite of the danger (or at least risk) in which the hostage has been placed. Stockholm syndrome is also sometimes discussed in reference to other situations with similar tensions, such as battered person syndrome, child abuse cases, and bride kidnapping.

Stockholm Syndrome is when a pow or abduction victim is held against their will for an extensive period of time resulting in the victim developing feelings of understanding, love, affection, and they develop the ability to relate to their captors. The end result being a psychological trauma once removed inducing paranoia and in some the irrational attachment to the captors often creating the need to return to the captors in order to feel "safe" again. I hope that helps!

Take for example if you are kidnapped. When you start to feel a rapport for the person who is holding you that is the Stockholm syndrome. To certain degrees it may also be if a person is beating you regually, when you start to support them in this that could be the syndrome also. The kidnapping is the best I could think of though.

it was mentioned in the case of the girl that was missing for 8years
after her kidnapper jumped under train she started to cry
her personal helper said that when u as a kid grow up with some1 u start to see him as a rolemodel
even when they beat u or rape u, u will see the human side of the person since u live with them
