Clothing design is more of an art form than it is a functional piece of outerwear. I do not know why this is but it is taboo for a woman to wear the same outfit more than once in any given week. Women are generally under pressure to wear something that they have not worn before, yet they cannot wear the same thing that someone else is wearing. Therefore fashion designers captialize on this demand to be different. Wealthy women who are often in the public eye have to keep their look updated to avoid criticism.

It's called "Conspicuous Consumption". eople buy and wear designer stuff because it is expensive. This way they can tell other people "Look at how much money I have. I have so much I can spend X amount on a pair of shoes!"

because first the clothes are designed to fit on you only and the name of the designer and the material he uses is really of high quality thats why

Because your not buying the fabric. Your buying the brand. I have a pair of True Religion jeans that cost me a couple hundred bucks. I also have a pair of jeans from the Gap that cost me $39. No one can tell the difference. It's the name your paying for.

its like a specialist doctor charges as many as three times for da same prescription, given by an ordinary one///they r a name n its not that their designs r that baaad/// some of them really define a class of their own moreover they use pretty expensive fabric...but they r definitely not as deserving but wen there r buyers y wont they try n make a fortune by selling each n every other costume!!

It is the brand, for example if you wear an original rolex people will automatically get some idea about you, wheras if you wear a watch by some unknown thai brand then people will know your poor
