That's sexist and just not true. Most women can keep more than one thought in their head at a time - unlike men. We don't need lists. I had a boss who was a list fanatic. One day I said to him, 'There's a list we don't have.' Alarmed he asked me 'What?'
'Well, we don't have a list of lists.' It took him a while to figure out I was joking.
Give me a notepad and a pen and I'll doodle - normally building up triangular forms into which I put a dot. (Especially during boring meetings when everything is said and nothing decided.) I hope no psychologists read this!

I don't... No that's not true. Because she must be organized.
If you give me a notepad and a pen/pencil I will start making a list!

I hardly ever make lists and on the few occasions that I have I have always left them at home (ie grocery lists and such).
This drives my 24 year old daughter crazy. Every time I talk to her she tells me to make a list about whatever we are talking about. I am leaving on vacation in 2 days and last night she was telling me to make a list of the clothes I will be bringing She makes lists for everything. She just got back from a cruise and she made lists of her clothes and shoes and the gifts she wanted to buy for people and everything. It drives me crazy.

Are you sitting comfortably?
Once upon a time, there was a naked bloke called Adam who lived in a garden all by himself. One day his imaginary friend God took pity on him, took out one of his ribs out and made a real woman friend called Eve out of it. Adam's imaginary friend God told the two of them not to eat apples off the apple tree but they were a bit naughty and did. Apparently it all went a bit pear-shaped from there and Adam and Eve got it together and because God felt a bit left out and bored to say the least, he invented shops and lots of things to put in them. He implanted some commands into Eve's head that made the contents of shops very attractive to her and also lots of other activities to do her so that possibly he and Adam could have a bit of bloke time every now and again.
Now, because of the brain memory space in Eve's head that was needed for the shopping and to do command program, an alternative type of memory was required so that she could remember all the things she needed to do and buy and so the notepad and pencil were invented. See :-)

Because that's what notepads are for - planning your shopping. I'm a guy and even I know that.

I am compelled to do so. To see my thoughts, chores, needs, wants, written down, it makes it all less overwhelming, easier to conquer. The thoughts are no longer just floating around in my head they are right there to see, look at and accomplish.
