it has to be none other than the Geordie legend, Alan Shearer, the all time Premiership goal scorer.

Alan Shearer. I am glad he retired when he did because I think over the last couple of years he became quite a dirty player. He was very fond of using his elbow. However because of who he was referees seldom took any action against him. In his prime he was superb not only for Newcastle but for England. Modern day centre forwards are not a patch on Shearer. He is now coming along quite nicely as a soccer pundit. Good luck to him.

ALAN SHEARER in morden times but i would think a lot of the older fans who saw him might say that JACKIE MILBURN was a better player. Hard to say as not seen Milburn but their records are very similar.
Alan Shearer, 1996-06, 404 games 206 goals.
Jackie Milburn, 1946-57, 397 games, 200 goals.
Shearer 6 more goals but played an extra 7 games.
