I don't like them. I find them gross. Also everytime I have tried to use a tampon I can feel them up there and they hurt. THAT is the main reason I don't use them. I have enough pain during that time. I use the ultra thin pads w/wings and don't have any problems.

I don't, I use a menstrual cup.
Tampons are not better than anything.
Commercial tampons are the most harmful out of over twenty different menstrual options, commercial tampons are the only option to have killed women, tampons are a risk from the moment you put them into your body, tampons show strings on the outside, you can only wear tampons for a few hours at a time, tampons are inconvenient, tampons are expensive if commercial or organic, commercial tampons are terrible for the environment, tampon manufacturers make women feel bad about their own bodies, etc. etc. etc.

I use both pads and tampons. In the beginning, I use pads, because sometimes it's too much to change the tampons every 20 minutes because they get oversaturated. Unless I'm moving around alot, then tampons can be okay, and I'll deal with changing them so often. Mid-way through, I use heavy tampons, then lights, then light pads. Overnight, I use heavy pads, because tampons shouldn't be left in for more than 5 or 6 hours. But overall, tampons are neater.

I used pads for years-the thin ones with wings and was fine with it. During this time I tried different tampons and finally found one that works for me. I love it, it's not as messy I don't have to see all that. If TSS is a fear for you, try organic tampons they don't 100% prevent TSS but they don't have the ingredients in them that make it a greater possibility.

I use them because i don't like feeling like I'm wearing a diaper. The only thing you have to be careful about is to choose an absorbency that matches your flow level. IE don't put in a Super Plus on the last day and leave it in all day when just a light panty liner would do. That is what I did at cheerleading camp in high school and I ended up in the hospital with toxic shock syndrome.

I personally don't use them. I was told by my gynecologist that using tampons harbors bacteria, can cause infections as opposed to using a pad, which allows the fluids to flow. I did at some point and started having problems with them. Hope this helps!

I use both tampon and pad. On light days, I'd just go with tampon and panty liner. Dislike the diaper feeling as well.

I only use pads.I'm afraid of tss and I read an article about the levels of chemicals that they use in tampons.I've heard of people who have used tampons and their flow tends to be much heavier.I think pads are healthier and much safer.

I like tampons more because they aren't as messy and pads feel like a diaper and can wad up and not do it's job if you get active.
