Tried avi2dvd but everytime it comes up with an error don't know why

I'm using avi2dvd but it comes up with an error whenever it tries to convert video files , Audio files are fine



and yes I want 2 play on home dvd player

avi2dvd works great. the trick to that is removing the compression on the sound. use a program like virtualdub (also free) to uncompress the sound on the avi. then avi2dvd should work fine.

You can get a player that plays Divx and burn the files to CD as data(like one answerer already said).
They are inexpensive:

You'll end up saving money burning to CD instead of more expensive DVD.Plus trying to go from avi to dvd you are going from one compressed format to a different compressed format and usually causes a lot of loss in picture quality.

cucusoft avi to dvd does them all the right way the first time just one click

no conversion needed. just burn the .avi as data like any other file.
You don't say if you want to be able to watch it on a home player etc.
