I'm a bit confused by the left blaming the US for the actions of terrorist car bombers.

No. It's a Catch-22. If we pullout, it will embolden the insurgents...they will think they successfully drove us out and they will not hesitate to go on the offensive and bring the fight to us on American soil if we abandon the fight at its current location.

Also, to address those that would say the Iraqis don't want us there...let's not forget about the Iraqi police officers that are putting their lives on the line every day...with more Iraqis signing on to assume the roles of those that have fallen to the insurgent violence. People wonder why citizens of Iraq were slow to show appreciation for the American presence... ....because they were afraid we would leave before the job was done (like we did before) in response to pacifists who thought too many lives were being lost. Have people forgotten how many died on 9/11...people who weren't trained military volunteers?

No, I do not think a U. S. pullout in Iraq would lead to less violence but, I do believe we would leave the country in terrorist hands. I believe the latest slogan by the President speaks volumns: We leave terrorist will follow (to our country that is). There are plenty of good people in Iraq that want us there.

NO. A U.S. pullout now would probably lead to more violence. The factions that are causing the violence now would be given full rein to step it up. Plus, others would further involve themselves, like Iran, who is already there striring it up anyway. Not to mention Al-Qaeda and all of their murdering proxies.
The left blames the U.S. for everything wrong in the world anyway.

I think a pullout would lead to more violence. There would be a civil war, but is that any of the business of the USA. How would the USA have liked it if a foreign power had occupied their country to prevent the Civil War? Both sides would have united to fight the foreign power, don't you think? Other than giving aid and advice, countries should mind their own business. There have to be exceptions. Stopping German aggression was necessary in 1939 for instance.

I always said the English being in Northern Ireland was the reason the IRA bombed our country. As soon as they left it stopped.
The same could happen if the US pulled out of Iraq. All the military are doing at the moment is killing innocent people and not the people they are after.........wouldn't you be upset and hit out if innocent people got killed where you lived?
But having said that, I think it is now too late for the US to pull out, the damage has been done and the retaliation hasn't EVEN BEGUN yet.............those days you will have to look forward too.

Nope, not at all. This is what frustrates me with the Democrats. I hate the war; it was a huge mistake from the start. But it's OUR mess that we made in someone else's backyard. Leaving now would be shortsighted and irresponsible. As much as I can't stand the Republican leadership, the Democrats are just offering kneejerk, political reactions rather than real solutions. Basically, all of Congress is full of idiots right now.

probably lessen it but not significantly cause alot of the fighting is between natives of the country and surounding countries. due to some being supportive of having us soliders over there and who should be in charge of running the country.

Most certainly fewer Americans would be killed. Bring our people home and let the Iraqi people decide for themselves what and who they want. We only want the oil.
