I'm not hostile, but I'm very cautious, very reserved. I try to figure out what kind of person he / she is before opening up.

Hostility starts with arrogance, but I think that people use hostility as a kind of shield. They would rather be the first to project hate, than be the one who receives hate.

And this brings me to a bigger question: What makes an entire nation hate another nation?

Hostility could also arise from misconceptions (stereotyping) of a person's background, race, sexual preference, religion, etc. They perceive that the other person is a threat to their beliefs. Hostility arises from the fear of losing one's core values, from losing one's identity, from losing one's concept of self.

I also think that someone who projects hatred is really practicing self-hatred.

But maybe I am mixing up the concepts of hate and hostility...Are they the same?

I apologize for my confusing answer. I'm just writing as I think.

Of course not. Some people are? I haven't run into any in 63 years that I'd say were "hostile" to strangers. Maybe a very few who were "cautious" or "suspicious" of strangers. But not hostile.
I can assume only that such people, presuming there are any, must be extremely paranoid, to the point of being mentally disturbed.

No. I tend to be a little reserved at first around strangers, but not mean. Perhaps any hostility that someone shows towards a stranger is in fact just them reacting to their own apprehension. Maybe it is a sign of timidness.

Not generally, only if they are attacking me or my loved ones.

Those who are suffer from xenophobia. Fear of strangers. For some, the answer to fear is hostility. Then there's people who support terrorists, like many Muslims who simply fear and are hostile to what they don't understand. Western civilization.

i am not generally hostile to strangers or else i would not have any friends as all my friends were once upon a time strangers.
maybe people are hostile to strangers because it was just the way that they were brought up or they are just mean.
i was taught not to talk to strangers but as i grow up i have learnt to handle situations better.

Of course not. How else could I make new friends? Some people are indeed hostile towards folks they don't know. They themselves don't seem like the kind of people you would like to get close to though. Most of it is prejudice, I guess, and being kind of backward.

i don't be attentive to. yet in my opinion i attempt to be extreme-high quality to anybody regardless of the place i'm or what's happening. yet i'm very distinctive from many human beings. i'm probable too extreme-high quality and it is not constantly sturdy. yet it is basically the way i'm. i'll end and help, in spite of the wear and tear i will divulge myself to. till there's a vehicle pulled on the part of the line. because of the fact that i'm a youthful female i be attentive to it is risky for me to help, plus there is many times no longer something i will do. I in specific cases pull next to them and ask in the event that they want help, and that i'm keen to help counting on the placement, yet whilst this is a broken down vehicle i do no longer many times end reason they might kidnap me. a guy can help them better.
