In my situation, my company made it mandatory to receive or paycheck stubs via email to our job email. If it is mandatory, why do they need a signed consent form to do it?

I can't seem to get this answer from my job, so I'm wondering if there is a law or policy that I can read regarding it. I do not feel comfortable signing an authorization form when it is not voluntary but mandatory.

A company can have a mandatory policy that is not supported by government law. For example most jobs have a mandatory starting time, there is no law that you have to be there so you have entered a contract with them about going to work there and the condition of being there on time. Many governments have strict laws on wages. Usually if they are paying you any way other than by cash or payroll check at the end of the pay period you have to sign off on it. The company does have the right to demand as a condition of employment that you do it their way.

they just do that so you know what is going on , when it will be emailed , and that you understand you will not recieve paper stubs . It is mandatory for you to sign that form to keep your job , that is a condition for your position , if you don't feel comfortable signing it you will need a another job

They need your consent because they are emailing you personal information. If it's mandatory it means you have to sign. I know of no laws against that.

As long as it is not illegal, an employer can ask you to do just about anything, and your only recourse is to comply or quit. Having a job isn't a right.
