Unless the watch is like Michael Knight's from Nightrider...go with the cell phone. Not only do you get the time and telephone together, but also extra functions like calculator and calendar. Plus, cell phones these days also have text messaging, walkie-talkie, internet browsing, mp3 players, camera phones, gps mapping, and on and on...

My opinion is choose the cell phone if you can only choose one right now. However, I would recommend getting both if you can afford it. A watch is usually a lot easier to glance at if you just need the time, and it can also be thought of as an accessory...you can look even cooler wearing an interesting, futuristic-looking watch, or look like a million bucks by adding some "bling" to your fancy duds by means of a fancy watch....the options are endless!!!!

Good luck!

The logic answer to this one is cell phone because it has the time on it anyway! But I can never find my cell phone, which must tell you that I'm not really bothered about having my phone around. I once found it in the garden! Although when I go somewhere, the cell phone comes along in case of emergency.

Which concludes that I must be a watch person then. Well I have about 23 watches, because I have a thing for beautiful watches! Nearly as bad as sunglasses, rings and handbags! But guess what! I keep forgetting to put a watch on! Time and again I only realise I don't have a watch on my wrist after I have already left! How daft is that!

This tells that the phone is much more important, because I remember to take it along! Precautionary reason only!

I use to where a watch all the time, but since I have had my cell phone, I don't wear a watch at all anymore. So, I guess I would say the most important is a cell phone!!!

A watch...I have a cell phone for emergencies, can't stand people who talk about their love life or have a "break up" over a cell phone in public...there should be an age limit on those things.

Well since a cell phone has a clock I'm gonna say cell phone. Also it allows us to be accessible especially if we have kids and schools need to get ahold of us.

Both is good to have. But we can live without them. Besides the cell phone also tells time.

Yup, I agree...even though watches have been around much longer, the cell phone has pretty much been one of the most important things in our modern culture. With all of the functions phones have these days, you can practically replace your watch, your camera, your video cam, your mp3 player & more. It's crazy!
