Why is Robin Hood considered a legend in England?
The Robin Hood legend has been subject to numerous shifts and mutations throughout its history. Robin himself has evolved from an obscure footpad to a national hero of epic proportions, who not only supports the poor by taking from the rich, but heroically defends the throne of England itself from unworthy and venal claimants.

Figurative speech is language that contains images. The work horses of figurative speech are metaphor, simile and personification. Such language can be used to breathe life into otherwise lifeless prose. One of the chief values of figurative speech is that it helps create a clear and vivid image for the reader.
You will need to read through your story of Robin Hood to find these. Some examples might be:
Maid Marion was as beautiful as a sunrise.
Little John was a bear of a man.
The coins in the king's pocket had seen the hands of many tax collectors.
It's interesting to note: Robin Hood did not steal from the RICH and give to the poor. He stole from the GOVERNMENT and gave to the poor.

A legend is a story that has been passed down for a significant amount of time, but any supporting facts have been lost in the process. Some legends are true, some were fiction to start with, but since they all lack factual support, they all are referred to as "legends" as opposed to "history".

Sounds like a quite interesting research. Do you need to have it in written form and submit somewhere? Maybe you could contact http://www.dissertationsexperts.com for they prepare all kinds of research. Dunno, that may be an option. But if you feel you have enough timea and resources to do it by yourself, that's it. Rds!
