I think you can go to family court - it's not a real court for criminals but a special one for families who need their issues resolved in a formal manner.
My brother was taken there by the mother of his child. He was already paying maintenance - but other issues were resolved.
She had a fancy lawyer - he had a lawyer through legal aid.
Most importantly the child is doing well out of the result of the family court process.

try a written aggreement with the father in the presence of a solicitor, if that doesn`t work your only option is court. no other way, some men don`t mind making the kids just won`t pay for them. that`s what the court system is for.

The CSA is going to be scrapped in the next few months, if it hasn't already, yu need to go thru court to get a contract so that he can't go back on what he has agreed to, otherwise yu won't have a leg to stand on!
Good luck

You really need to get the legal system involved, it's a bit of a nightmare but the only way to go about things properly.

you need to contact the Child Support Agency. i live in Wales, so i contacted them to see if it is up and running in Irland...and good news it is. The phone number is 08457133133.
legally they have to pay what they are told, but no court for you, possibly him if he does not pay
good luck x
