Definately start now, and take 5 minute breaks every hour until you are done!! You need to start it and keep going until you are finished, because if you stop, you more than likely won't get it finished in time, because you won't want to get started again. I wouldn't ask for more time, because the school year just got started, and if you start out by asking for more time, you won't make a very good impression. So just do it, and bunker down and get it done!!!

You should start your project, and then if you don't get it done ask for more time.
Don't think ahead so much.
And don't try to come up with easy answers or actions to get yourself out of doing work, as it will only be disadvantaging to yourself.
Turn off your TV and Internet too, that will help you get your project done.
Also just work on it, and don't let things distract you, don't think about just giving up and asking your teacher for an extension while your trying to work.
Just work for those three days, and keep working. Work from early morning 6:30am etc to late at night, I reckon you will finish it in one day if you do this, and you can get most work done if you just endure or act strong and don't be lazy and do other things, or get overwhelmed with the work, just work on it! And you will feel more content when you do. Good Luck. :]

Get off the computer and get moving. Teachers in high school and university aren't going to give you more time for a project.

Get off the internet and do some work!

I am a teacher and if I was going to grant an extension, I would need to see that some work was done already.

Own up to your lack of responsibility and get to work on the project immediately. Just because you've been lazy is no reason to ask for an extension of the due date.

I hope you have a good reason why you waited until now to actually get started. With projects I find that if you don't start them right away you tend to lose the zeal to get it done.So I suggest you triple it up and get on with it!!!

start it now and if you need more time, then ask. it would look better if you had something to show when you asked for more, rather than saying, "i haven't started it at all." i wouldn't give you more time if you just didn't start it.

teachers are sometimes lenient; they do give extra time, provided you give them good excuses. But do please start now, at least show the teacher that you did some work.
