Donadoni should continue the "renewal" of the National Team, and leave Totti out.
Totti did not perform as expected in the 2006 WC (the ITALIAN TRIUMPH) and there is no reason to keep on calling him or Del Piero, or Inzaghi, or Vieri, etc...
It is time to rejuvenate the Team and there are plenty of people who can perform at International level. Please remember that the Italian Under 21 Team has been one of the best in the last 10-15 years (they won 5 UEFA titles)
Just think about these names: Cassano, Gilardino, De Rossi, Chiellini, G. Rossi, Pelle`, Montolivo, Rosina, Aquilani... just few of the young players with a great future in front of them.

Probably, because the Italian press has been pressuring the coach for immediate results and they think Totti can solve the problem.

Totty said he will return in 2007, but Donadonny said that Totty is ready to help team if the team needs his help and he will be in condition.

I think that totty isn't the only reason of Italy's results.

Much has changed after WC and Italian team needs time to find his game. the coach has changed the best teams were fired from seria a and the best footballers left italian teams and i don't remember italian footballers playing well in national teams and at that time they were in spanish league. i don't want to say that cannavaro or zambrota couldn't play they used to play but they need time by all means to find the game they used to play.

Totty can help the team in such situation but he must play such game he plays in roma when he is in form, other ways his return won't change anything.

I'm sure italy will find soon their game and they will qualify and the 1984 Euro championship won't be reapeted, when wc winners left out of euoro cup .......... beside the fact that i'm georgian and i will be ongeorgians side on 11th of october

Yes Im sure he will accept, Totti is amazing and he loves soccer! Oddo said he's coming back on a interview on sky! And on sky there's a video of Totti training! :)

nope sadly he already rejected he said he's not in good shape still and he will be back in 2007 but I don't get that because if he wants to be in the Azzurri he won't have enough training with them

I hope that his broken fibula is not given him too much pain, having plates and screws in one's leg is not the best physical sensation. I wish him to recover fully.
