Last time I checked it is 2006 but people keep complaining and blaming clinton for what is going on right now, it is not 1996 anymore.

I think the blame can go back as far as Ronald Reagan. He is the one that trained and armed Osama in the first place. He is the one that created this monster. The fact that Clinton did not take him when he could is a only a contributing factor to 9/11, Bush had a full 9 months of briefings and had to know that there was danger and did nothing so there is blame and plenty of it and to blame one person for the events of 9/11 is just not fair.

Amen. They can't take responsibility for their own actions. We accept the fact that Clinton wasn't exactly a model for ethics and morality, but at least he knew how to run the damned country. I'd rather have a president that has extra-marital sex with an ugly woman than one that sends our men and women to invade a country that didn't show any hostilities. Ever notice how peaceful life was from 1992-2000? Gee, I miss Bill. Oh hell...let's have more tax breaks for the wealthy during wartime.

yes Bill "the anti everything" Clinton sure does serve a purpose. I guess in an indirect way it's a tribute to the guy that his name is so often used,, by two different sides of our political equation. Funny how he has been recently lauded for his role with the 9/11 debacle ? It's amazing isn't it?

Why doesn't anyone look at WHY terrorists hate us?
Stop mindlessly saying "they hate us for our freedoms"
and look at the real reason.
Then - remember, if the airports had proper precautions in place, 9/11 would never have been able to happen.
There will always be terrorists, maybe the reasons will change, but one thing is for certain - starting wars is not the way to prevent it.

It's 2006 but if Clinton had did his job, we wouldn't be in a big mess right now.

Sadly, some people are still living in 1969.
Hint: Chappaquiddick

However the blame for 9/11 does fall on Clinton, as well as every president before him up to Carter.

they might just be thinking that Clinton laid the foundation for today's situation....but a lot lot better could have been done by the leaders as well as people who elect them in a whole decade....
