No, it is not harmful and will not effect the pregnancy. Just stop taking them as soon as you find out. No reason to pump your body full of extra hormones.
The pill works by fooling your body into thinking it is already pregnant. If you become pregnant, your body starts producing the hormones provided by the pill on its own.

I think it could be harmful if you take it for a long time after you become pregnant. Look how many people don't know they are pregnant at first ans still drink achol. and smoke cigarettes, until they find out they are pregnant and then most people stop. I think you are safe with taking you pills until your cycle starts. Although I am not a 100% sure. I f i were you I would call either your local clinic or I would call you doctor and ask what they think. They will be able to tell you more of an accurate answer. Good Luck Sweetie!

How lengthy has she been on the pill? If that's been a lengthy time period, it is going to take more desirable than very few weeks for the body to "sparkling" itself of the pill's consequences. to be sure that being pregnant to ensue, ovulation would have had to ensue, and in view that she became on the pill in basic terms 2 weeks in the past, she wasn't ovulating on the instantaneous. Her indications on the instantaneous will be end results of the another project, or will be "wish fulfillment" (which means that she needs a lot to be pregnant that her body is turning out to be indications of being pregnant). although, having to apply the rest room a lot isn't a symptom of early being pregnant -- that symptom occurs later in being pregnant because the burden of the baby places pressure on the bladder. that's my guess that your spouse isn't pregnant immediately, yet when you're literally not positive about the accuracy of the homestead being pregnant exams, she ought to bypass to a well-known practitioner for a blood attempt.

Take the test now! What is stopping you? At least then you can find out & if you are, stop taking the pill. My Doctor told me that if you continue to take the pill while pregnant it can result in an ectopic pregnancy - or cause miscarriage. STOP and DO THE TEST! (good luck x)

yup. birth control uses hormones to regulate your cycle and keep you from conceiving. The first couple of weeks the baby develops a lot, (the heart is usually beating before you know you are pregnant) and the hormones can effect it's development. I suggest stopping the pill until you know for sure.

first... Take the answer, consult your docter serious! This is not the place to seek for advice if it is a real situation.
what i can find about it.....
There is no conclusive evidence that a brief exposure to birth control chemicals will cause any sort of birth defect in the unborn child. However, you should avoid taking if these drugs if you think you might be pregnant.

Can I ask, why if they haven't worked are you still using them? Some pill act as an abortifaciant, so that would be harmful right! I am glad that you are concerned about the pregnancy, that is your concern, isn't it?
