Do you have insurance, they will handle the towing co.

Who asked for it to be towed, YOU then yes pay.

If the police had it towed the yes you have to pay.

If the wrecker Co wants your title then say the title will cost you $150.00 because they are wanting that to scrap the car so they will get money back on the scrap deal. They want to make money two ways. so you say OK 50 bucks and the title....Make a deal they want a free car you are going to give them that and pay them too...
Bargain with them..

The wrecker company is certainly entitled for payment for towing your car but I don,t see how they have any reason to be asking for the title unless you led them to believe that you no longer wanted the car in which case maybe they are thinking of selling the car for parts or scrap value. They have no claim to your car if you paid their bill.

Put it this way. If your car was NOT burned up and NOT wrecked but NOT running either, they would give you about that amount of money if you were selling it to them as "Scrap". What they really want is for you to say "go ahead and keep the car" , and while they're at it why not try to get paid twice! . Outrageous if ya ask me..
