Well Kunta Kinte was the name of the baby. His father held him up.
If you're asking about the baby that was used in the movie, and where he might be nowadays since he's grown up, well that's a great question and I might do a little google searching later to try and find out.

I believe that the baby was supposed to be Kunta kinte, and it was HIS father lifting him.

Why don't you read the book "Roots" by Alex Haley? Unfortunately, most of the "supposedly family history" story was made up by Haley.
