Is there anyway to get into a computer? What I mean....You see on TV all the time that crime labs can examine a computer and know everything that went on inside of that machine, even if the user thought he deleted things, cleared history, etc. I'm pretty sure that's real and not sci-fiction...lol! Well, without purchasing any fancy expensive software, is there anyway to do this? If someone out there knew how to, could you walk me through it either on Yahoo answers or contact me via email? My target area on the machine would be emails. Is that possible without passwords? Oh, this is my computer and incase you havnt figured it out, I think my hubby is cheating on me, and one way or the other I WILL catch him. If you want details on that, view my other qusetions. Any help will be greatly appreciated, more than you know! Thanks!!!!

You can use a keylogger but if your husband is experienced with computers he may detect it. Try the link below. Good luck!

If your husband is using one of the "free" email services like Yahoo, all of the email is stored on the email server (a computer sitting somewhere in a Yahoo owned building) and not on your computer. So there is no way that you can retrieve his email from your computer without getting access to the account. Sorry.
You would need to get his password to get into his account. Have you tried doing the "Forgot my password" and seeing if you can guess his security question? (I assume you know his mother's maiden name). If so, you can reset the password and get in to the account.
You can also search for a keylogger. It is a program that will put anything typed into the computer into a text file that you can read later. You should be able to see his password the next time he logs in and see the text of any new emails or instant messages he types (You will not be able to see any emails he opens, only the ones he types).
I did read your other question. You will be in my prayers today...

It is possible and you can download trial programs to retrieve deleted material. The only problem is if it is on the computer you are using now you could be over writing the information. A few trial programs: Smart Undelete, Recover It All and this one seems like the one for you it claims to be able to retrieve deleted emails and its called OutlookEX Recovery. This only works for outlook express, not web based email.
Hope this helps, if you need any more help get in touch.

Here is the best advice I can give you, because it is way too long and detailed and complicated to explain. This will cost, but it can be done. Take your PC into the local college computer lab and a professor can do this there. It will cost, as I said, but yes, it can be done. I really hope that your husband is not betraying you and your marriage. I have been married 30 years and we get closer every year. I pray the same for you. Good Luck.

you can not easily or cheaply accomplish what you are after. Email info. is not buried in the computer, that would be available from the email service and would require a search warrant from law officials (FBI)
For your purpose, a keystroke program would be cheapest and easiest. The program records each keystroke and can be recreated at a later time to see all that went on in the computer. It would not let you 'read' any mail, just the keystrokes of creating mail.

Use a FireWall. If you have Windows XP with SP2, then check the Control Panel and look at the Windows Firewall. Turn that on if it is not on.
If you do not have the Windows Firewall, then try the free Zone Alarm from http://www.zonelabs.com
Also, you should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.
This double whammy will help keep you safe and running faster

You can use Stellar Phoenix NTFS software which is available on www.crack.ms which is full version.
This software can retrive any data deleted from you PC even after formatting the whole PC of re-partioning the drives.
But it can read only from the free space ie if you have 1GB free than it can retrive the data only from that 1GB space
