Well, the answer quite difficult. But if you are mentioning the last tour, then India only played a Test-match not a ODI-match. And there is not any kind of T-shirt number or hat number. It´s only in ODI´s where the teams have to wear the T-shirts, hats etc,.. with numbers.

Each player is given a different number to represent the amount of people who have been picked to play for their country.
So if Flintoff number was 741, for example, then he was the 741st person to be picked to play cricket for England.

Freddie is the 741st player to be "Capped " {given an England cap } for England.
Next time you watch cricket you will notice that all players have a number just above the heart.
