After doing some comparison shopping I found the Zen Vision 30GB by Creative Labs to be a good buy.
It's rechargeable, no batteries to change.
The dock lets you charge, store and connect with your home stereo.
The audio cable lets you use a wireless connection to your car stereo.
The screen is large and backlit, with an option to turn off the backlighting and conserve the battery charge.

Downsides
The cable, doc and even the carrying case are all extras.
The total price for everything I've mention plus a 2 year warranty is a little over $500.00 US dollars.
It's larger than most MP3 players.
You cannot change the battery, only recharge.
Try shopping at http://www.crutchfield.com They offer several ways to shop for the best MP3 player.

Haha tell me about ipod! I have an iPod Nano and the baterry is more than awful!! At the moment, I am really interested in getting the Creative Zen V (2GB or 4GB) or the Creative V Plus (30GB or 60GB). Those are much more worthit! Cheap and have loads of things inside! After all, they are the original creators of the scroll wheel! Heh! Other than Creative, I am not really sure of which mp3 player is really good in the market now. Some brandless ones are pretty good too! :) Whatever it is, never waste on any other iPod be it Video or Mini~

Get an attachment to up the battery life, if you can. It may make it look bigger, but the extra music is worth it. I have a philips Gogear thing and it works ok, the menu is a little hard to work around if you don't like to make folders tho... All in all, Apple made a really bad system for loading music onto the IPod

relies upon completely on what you wanna do with it. in case you basically want the song, and an outstanding interface, and performance various songs, bypass for iPod classic. If low type of songs, fo for iPod nano. in case you surely want song, and in no way something else, then bypass for iPod shuffle. And in case you want each thing, yet do not wanna spend a shitload of money on iPhone, then bypass for the iPod contact. AND BTW, going for the present iPod nano is a foul theory.. It has a touchscreen, and yet no video features. also, the demonstrate is tiny..

I don't know if Winamp offers any options for i-pod's. But it is sure the best on a PC.

Have fun but be safe.

I have an iPod and a small MP3 Player from CFGear. They are both great but the CFGEar unit seems easier to operate.
