This question is a little hard to answer. Many anime have a romantic theme to them. These DVDs are the closest stories to what you are looking for: Ai yori Aoshi, His and Her Circumstances, Fushigi Yugi, The world of Narue, Ceres(violent) and Video Girl Ai.
