Dubrovnik, croatia? What's it like?

Thinking of heading there the first week in October.
Anyone who has links to a B&B or cheap apartments,
anyone been there before, could recommend a place,
or anyone currently living there who knows waht the place is all about.

I've been there a couple of times... Dubrovnik is the most expensive site in Croatia, but you can find some cheap apartments or hotels...
Especially because you're going in October, when there isn't so many people....
It's difficult to recommend what to see in Dubrovnik, when you get there, you'll see for yourself that the old town is very small but full of interesting buildings, palaces... The whole old town is a kind of museum, so the best is to take a small guide and go slow.
What you shouldn't miss is to take a walk across the old walls and to see Lokrum, the island park across Dubrovnik, you get there in 10 minutes with a boat.
The town is beautiful, you'll see.
When you're there, you can go to a small town Cavtat, it's very nice and not far, some 15 minutes, or you can go to the National park Kornati..... But you'll see for yourself!
The night life is great, lots of small bars, good disco, beach parties...
And the weather should be sunny! Enjoy!

Dude, pass to Slovenia costal in case you opt for for to have a relaxing. Zagreb is huge NO, i will pass to DUBROVNIK over cut up, ( cut up is greater like bay city) yet how plenty is secure for you....as long as you're no longer Serb or Muslim you would be tremendous... it is going to likely be greater value-effective then in Scandinavian international places or Europe. climate is moist yet to no longer chilly. terrific time to pass is could, Jun July..
