In a city close by where we live, they put out 3000+ American Flags, one for each person who lost their lives that day. We go to the park every yr. seeing all the flags is absolutely wonderful...
R.I.P.
What the flags represent is almost more than I can put into words!! We light candles and of course say our prayers...which we do every day......God Bless America!! Be with us all...the Entire Earth, and Everyone on our planet......good & bad!! ~Peace~

The same as we do each year. I sit with my two girls and we will watch a documentary on the happenings of that day. I will answer any questions that they might have now as they are getting older. Then we call and talk to My cousin (their Great Cousin) who is a Marine and we let him know we are thinking of him and that we still miss our Aunt and Uncle everyday but especially today. She was in the First Tower and he was an officer and in our eyes forever a hero.
My girls know that heroes are not in comic books, cartoons, or movies. They are our neighbors our friends and our families. As far as my daughters know "Heroes Walk Among Us."

I'm in Ontario, Canada.
Each year, the fire department in our town usually drives up and down the local street with its sirens on as a sign or respect and it gets people's attention. It also forces people to sit up and take notice of what time it is.
At the same time, local schools, and I imagine other places observe a moment of silence.
â¥The families & survivors will be in my prayers.â¥
People should just stop bickering for one day of the year, stop debating about the war and remember the innocent lives that were lost.
Yes there is a war going on,and everybody has an opinion about it, but don't let opinions let such a horrific tragedy go unforgotten because of personal opinions.
Sometimes empathy is lost when opinions take centre stage.
Let us not forget.

Sober reflection.
A day of infamy and sadness, just like the London tube bombings, the Madrid bombings, strikes in Iraq, Bali, Lebanon and Israel. Plus the numerous other atrocities committed from one man to another fellow human being.
Slaughter of innocents over politics. God keep the souls of the fallen.

Thank you for that -- you brought tears to my eyes. Glad to know that someone remembers the terrible tragedy without trying to make hay out of it.
