i have a little can thing of yoplait yogurt, called lite, with fruit mixed in, i think strawberries and blue berries. its labled fat free, the Berries 'n Cream kind, i think the back label of ingredients has aspartine, i was wondering if it was safe to give it to them, the rats, and also, what about hamsters, dwarf russian hamsters. will the aspartine or other ingreadients hurt my rats? will it hurt my hamsters? i dont want to overload them on it, just as a treat, like walking on to my hand.

A little bit would be ok, but some rats's stomachs don't agree with dairy products. For the most part rats eat anything. Your best bet would be to go to a pet store and get yogurt treats made especially for them. The rats I have really like the Strawberry Flavored ones, and the Yogurt Drops.

It should be ok as long as they are small amounts, just keep your eye on them for a few days afterwards to see if they react to it.

But natural food is always best

Yes, in small amounts should be fine. The reasearch people sometimes use inflated doses to prove their point.

Yep, fine to use a litte, like some on your finger for them to lick off.
