Get the car adapter and charge it in the car. Most cars you do not have to have them running for the adapter to work.

Believe it or not, since Katrina happened and maybe even before that....they have a solar powered mat that your phone hooks into and charges so you can use it when there is no electricity.

You can google "Solar Cell Phone Chargers" and find a whole bunch of places to buy one. I have listed one below.

Something that has been on the market for a short time now is a small dynamo type device, similar to those wind-up torches one see's in bargain shops. They are set to the phone batteries voltage, mostly 3.6 volts or a little more, and have connections to suit most mobile phones. they are fairly cheap, and you should be able to pick up one on (phones & assessories) eBay.

You can buy a charger that uses regular "aa" batteries at many electronic stores, such a Radio Shack. This is useful for camping trips and so on.
