I'm currently a UK size 10 or 12 and I'm 30. Are there any benefits to be gained from losing some weight and becoming a size 8? Is this healthier? Will it make me look younger? Will it make me more attractive?

I think you sound like you're bang on - don't lose weight. Once you get past 30 (and I know) you need more weight on you - if you're too skinny you'll look older.

You can always do more exercis to keep your size 10 toned (that goes as you get older too!!!)

No, I really do not see any benefits, unless you are overweight. Toning up and eating healthily are the best things you can do for yourself, but that does not mean losing weight just to be what society has termed 'ideal'. I don't think it will make you look younger, curves are youthful and feminine, bones are not. Also when you lose weight, it will first come off your face and chest, which I don't think will do you any favours. If you have always been a size 10-12, there is really no reason to become a size 8, don't think it will make you happy. If you used to be a size 8 and just want to go back to how you were, that is ok. But you should be happy with how you are as you sound very attractive already. Take care : )

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you think you could benefit from losing some weight then do so, but you have to do if for the right reasons.

If you are the correct weight for you height then what are you worrying about?? I am of West-Indian background and I weigh 11 stone and I am 5' 5", technically I am overweight but I feel great, and I have been told that I look great, if anything I could tone up a little but for the time being I'm happy (and I am closer to 40 than 30).

Take each day as it comes, eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water and live life to the full . . .

This depends on your height as well and how you feel in yourself... I am 30 years old 5.7" and am size 10-12 and I feel great with it. I used to be a size 8 and was way too skinny I had no shape and did not feel feminine. It will not make you healthier or younger looking if it is not the right size for you!. If you are worried then speak to your doctor.

Size 10 - 12 is a very healthy size - much more so than size 8! ...In fact the average uk size is actually size 14-16. Also I think men would much prefer a size 10-12 than a skinny boy-like figure :-)

As a size 10-12 you are way below the UK average of a size 16. You are probably at your optimum weight, most men don't like overly skinny women, and if you lose too much weight you'll end up unhealthier.Stay as you are and be happy

are you a sociology student and lookin 4 peoples response.
you already know the answers unless oyu live in a world free from tabloids/t.v/human contact. there arent much benifits of being a size 8 over a 10. idepending on your height and face structure it may make you look older & not younger. being a size 8 doesnt automatically make you look more attractive. you have to look good to be good looking! size doesnt count. well especially not thre difference between an 8 and 12

i cant believe your askin people who dont know you whether you would look better skinnier. does it matter what replys you get?

Guess it depends on you height to answer this question more accurately. I would think a 10 or 12 is a great size to be and loosing more weight could make you look too thin and haggard. Increasing you fitness by walking more and making sure you diet is healthy, organic and fresh fruit and veg etc, is just as important as your weight.
