Yes I think so.... I think maybe there is a cognitive explanation for this in that we can notice many things that are isolated and think okay that happened, then the second time it is probably a coincidence and the third time it is fate - pattern recognition?

I used to work in a shop and you know people can buy many things for many amounts it is often that a person buys something for £6.29 and someone else comes along in quick succession and buys different things for the same amount and then you think wheres number three? and then someone always does come along and spend that much on completely arbitrary things but there usually is no fourth person. The same happens when youre handing out change three different people come along with three different amounts and get exactly the same change. There is a science called numerology around which the question evolves.

Only if you believe it to be true, we all experience luck in two different guises, goo and bad, if you believe either of these will come in pack's of three, then you will register them as trios throughout your daily life and always expect one or two to be due after a bout of luck. If you choose to register these as one off experiences then you can spend lots more of your precious thinking time, only focusing on what is happening now and not what the next bit of bad luck may be.

Numerology is any belief in divine, mystical or other special relationship between a number and some coinciding events. It's an occult science that I consider fascinating. I started to study numerology because of my obsession with Mathematics, Geometry. What I discovered it's really incredibble.

Death comes in three's. If someone you know dies, then watch out. Because two more will follow. They may not be close family members or close friends but they will be known to you somehow. As neighbors, home town folk, just people that you know well enough to say hi to when you see them. I have recorded this occurance my whole life and can tell you that its true. Its not just a wifes tale. Its the honest truth. Death comes in 3's.

It does to me!
I work in a nursery and the other day 1 of the children bit me on the thigh through jeans, made me cry and it drew blood!
15 mins later i got headbutted in the lip by another child and i bit into it, and made me cry!
Every1 was taking the **** and saying it all comes in 3's!

so 15 mins after that i went to get my bag and hit my elbow on a cupboard door, that made me cry as well And i still have the bruise n this happened 2 weeks ago!

So that day i went home with a bite mark, swollen, bloody lip and a massive bruise on my elbow, i looked awful!

mine always does. Several years ago I lost an uncle 3 months later my grandmother and 3 months later my mom. If I hurt myself it starts off with something small leading up to the grand finale. Good luck also happens in threes for me.

No, what happens is people will look out for the SLIGHTEST negative thing after the 1st incident and say 'oooh its my bad luck - one more to go.'

I'd have to agree with David on this one, and don't personally believe in a lot of these supposed superstitions

I have noticed it in life and death. Like when someone dies, usually I know two more who will, but I have also found this true in pregnancies.
