They are a good band up to Zooropa but after that their stuff is medoicre! But they are popular, and they win grammys (i donñt get that one either)
But my trouble is with U2 is The Joshua tree album and how highly regarded it is as an album when there is only three good songs on it, whcih by coincidence where released as singles!
Nobody has been fooled by U2 and they donñt hide what they are, but personally i donñt own U2 albumsnow as a msucian they don´t inspire me or interest me!
For me the Red Hot Chilli Peppers last album completely makes U2´s last albums since joshua tree suck! personally i think RHCP are the best band in the world and seem to be getting better with age! Plus the lead singer doesn´t think he can save africa! LOL

Fooled all you fools have been duped by what is possibly the worst band in history. And Bono the Bone r has to go. Ever notice how all his political mumbo jumbo always seems to collaborate with the release of something new by U2, or a tour or some other thing they decide to drag thier old sorry asses to?

U2 ARE GREAT, whats all this crap about being fooled, they have th best music evah, how can they fool you, by brainwashing you into liking them!!! No way, i gues some sad people wud rather listen to the beatles - thats just sad music for old pentioners, U2 have been around since the early 80's and still rock, toss them dusty beatles records into the skip grandads!

I remember reading that Mister Clayton was the highest paid bass player in the world.....(?) - Strange because his playing is brutal and inept.
Yes they are a really REALLY good band, instantly recognisable. But Bonio is big headed and some of his "Geldof" type statements show he is actually too big for his boots.
There's a general impression they didn't exactly condemn the IRA.....
SO a great band then , but they tend to fall into the "Dire Straits/Eric clapton" type niche, and appeal to people who don't really listen to music all that much.

of course they're good. Personally there's only a few songs that I like to listen to more than once in a day but they're a good band

Well, they're not really my style, but they do have some great songs as do many bands. However, I think that they are really overrated and that the people who listen to them (the majority) are pompous arrogant twats. The biggest **** is Bono who irritates me with his pseudo intellectual save-the-world bullshit.

If we go by sales... an awful lot of people have apparently been fooled.
Personally I think they're brilliant. But I also think its cooler to be someone who says they're not.
(N.B. I didn't make that clear - I like them and I say I do, but I think others don't!)

they are a very good band. i like pretty much all of there stuff. they have been going now for many years and in my opinion keep getting better.
