It all depends on where you are and what you are doing. If you are in London and in the tube you can ready the free Metro newspaper it has a summary of all the news. If you are at home and you have access to the net surf it. If you are at work and its your tea break or lunch and your company permits use of the net for private business use the net. Most of the newspapers (paper newspapers), are availaable free on the net. The advantage of the net is that you can also cross reference the truth and the lies from some papers. Whilst catching up with news on the net you can also do research about other people, other companies and you can also do a little bit of shopping. Shop around for cheap morgages, current accounts, cars, houses holidays, University and College courses. Overall the net is better because you have access to a unlimited supply of information and most of it is for free. Plus you can catch up with the lattest gossip.

I would rather surf the net because the newspaper is always so depressing and only local for your area. Surfing the net lets you choose what to read, where to go and to look up what interests you!!

I'm on sick so i'm a little restless, if i was at work i would not be bothered i've just given away a £600 computer, i don't want the source of porn filth like that in my house.

I rather surf the net, I don't know about where you are from but in New York City we have the worse papers. Our papers "New York Post and the Daily News" are becoming TABLOID papers. Its disgusting, so Yeah I rather read MSN and CNN news.

Definately surf the net. Easy for me to get access, and search for what I want. Also less paper to recycle! Not always sure about truth behind news stories but there y'go.

I don't read newspaper any more. They are all one sided. The media is suppose to be bias, neutral. There is every side to the story and more on the net. I just need to discern what is the truth.

i'd surf the internet- with the newspaper there are very limited things to read about and i'd end up spending like 20 mins, whereas with the internet i could spend ages on finding out about the stuff i like. plus, it saves me having to flick through the pages

Our local paper is a snooze paper and not worth the paper its printed on, surfing the net is much more informative and you just look for what you want.

I generally read the newspapers as well as look at the news websites. I do try and get a range of views on what's happening.

pretty_lesbian: when I went there I thought they alrady were tabloids- it was like reading The Sun!
