An agreement to build a huge16 lane highway starting on Mexicos west coast and ending in central Canada was reached in 2004 by President Bush, Vincinte Fox, and then P.M Martin. Naturally America will be footing the bill for this project. My thoughts on it are that goods will be shipped in from the east (taking away American manufacturing jobs), recieved by Mexican dock workers(avoiding the longshoremans union, and American freight handlers), and shipped by Mexican truckers(eliminating American truckers). Would you agree that this sounds like Bush selling America out at the tax payers expense. I wonder how much "W" stands to pocket off this deal. Construction of this highway has already started in Texas by the way.

The man needs to be shot! Kennedy, Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr. All these men fought for peace. When is it going to be Bush's turn to be in the crosshairs?

This is a great monument to a dying civilisation. A little bit like Ceausescu's palace in Roumania. The Petroleum Age is setting and a large highway that is totally dependent on petroleum is proposed. It is lunacy. It will also in all probability not happen.

NAFTA is an attempt to establish the corporate power base at the expense of any popular control. In the case of Canada, it means that we have had to lower our standards of living to the US or Mexican level, and that the poor in all three countries would be cut loose without any support. This by the way is what is being exported as "democracy" by the Bush League of Nations including our own Americanadian Harperites.
You are wrong in saying that the US will pay. We all know that it will be the poor in all three countries that will pay.

One of the many sins you guys from North America will never be forgiven by us from South America and a tiny enligthened Central American minority is the one you committed when way back in the 90's you put in charge three dutiful agents of the transnational capital: Salinas de Gortari (Mexico) Bush Senior before and later Clinton (US) and Brian Mulroney (Canada). The dreadful superhighway is just another step in the implementation of NAFTA. Welcome to hell. The bill won't be footed by the US. We and blue collar, brown skinned US workers have been paying for it

Clintons baby. He never noticed the 'sucking sound' of jobs leaving the US, as Perot predicted. Too busy with other sucking sounds, I guess.

Look to the Hispanic Caucus of the Democratic Party if you want to know who is selling out to the Mexicans.

Your innuendo is typical of Libs who hide from the ugly truth. Call Solomon Ortiz's office and ask what his plan for 20 million illegal Mexicans is.
