White marks are generally caused by using polishes that contain Formaldehyde or Tolulene. These chemicals dry out the nail bed. Your best defense is to get a pedicure and have the nail tech lightly buff your nails. Don't use any nail polish until the dryness goes away. Use a cuticle oil daily. This will help rehydrate the nail bed. When you are ready to polish again use Poshe Antimicrobial Base Coat. This has an anti-fungal built in to the polish that will help eliminate further white spots. Stay away from any polishes that contain these chemicals. If left untreated, you could possibly end up with a fungus.
