Just a Television personality who did his thing with animals. I agree we should remember Steve Irwin legacy but not at the loss of other quiet achievers and that perhaps we can mourn his passing as a person that lost his life in a tragedy.
I guess I am saying remember the man and not the persona. Honour those that are still able to contribute to the future and help them also in their endeavors.

For me ot'll be tha way he joked and laughed while holding crocs in his hands like new born babies. He'll be remebered as a crazy guy and yes that man who always had that catchphase 'Crikey'. What a lovely man if there ever was one. He was an animal carer and to me he was also a comedy man who entertained everybody in a great way. He smile was always the best and I felt it could warm up a whole room....Steve mate, HIP!
Saudi-shut up! Get lost if you cannot respect the dead. Shall i get a stingray on you and get it to pierce your heart? Would you like that matey?

the really sweet guy who sed crikey a fair amount. :) everyone will remember hi differently. he only died a few days ago but ppl are already dissing him but all in all he was loved by most and he wont be forgotten. He isnt a celebrity he's an aussie legend now. He has a legacy left behind too. His zoo, his opposition to animal cruelty and his over all carefree nature. His family are going to carry on expressing the same love for nature and he remains in the hearts of all who cared about him.

He will be remembered in many ways. For some the way he died will stick in their heads. For my son, Steve is a inspiration of kindness to animals and a little nuts but looked up to.
For me I will remember him as the crazy croccadile hunter whose job I will never understand. On one hand he seems crazy but on the other hand he seems to be sensitive and kind to animals and people. He has a love for creatures and must be brave. I could never do his job.
I don't think anyone out their can take his place.

That absolutely bonkers aussie who manhandled dangerous animals with his excited presentation technique. Great outdoorsman with a great understanding of nature. And he said Crikey! a lot. Top bloke. My bro met him a couple of times and said he was one of the most entertaining blokes hes ever met!

With the same enthusiasm he show us. He helped us to understand wildlife and hopefully taught most of us that we need to look after our planet and the enviroment around us. As with life, you only get one chance. Once it's gone, that's it!
He was the best teacher this world had to offer.

I remember him for feeding a crocodile whilst holding his new born baby in the enclosure, but also for being a man who loved animals and tried his best to protect them.
