A co-worker of mine, who is married, openly admited to me that he would sleep with another co-worker if given the chance. Is simply admitting this is form of cheating.

Not cheating... but definitely disrespectful and indicative of someone who is not committed to their relationship. Someone who would cheat if they had the chance is not someone that I would want to be with.

No, it's not like you can shut off the basic factors of attraction that initially got you hitched in the first place. A hot looking man or woman is simply that. It's acting on that attraction that is cheating.

I recall watching "The Flintstones" some years ago, and Fred and Barney were talking about something, when Barney mentions the fact that Wilma is attractive. Fred scowls at Barney, who chuckles, "Gee Fred, I'm married. Not blind!" That's always stuck with me.

No. If he actually did it, then it would be cheating. It's normal to find other people (besides your significant other) sexually attractive and even desire them as long as it remains at just that. If it proceeds into a physical relationship, then it's obviously cheating. Remember there always that line that must be crossed before it's considered cheating.

Yes, he has already cheated in his heart and that is where it counts the most. It would have been different, if he simply said yes... he found her attractive. That happens to all of us. Just because we get married doesn't mean we go blind. But being willing to sleep with someone else means his heart is not faithful.

Yes, because if he was given the opportunity he would. I believe even thinking of another person in that way, is cheating. That's just my opinion anyways.

You've got to be kidding. DUDE. Get this straight. Its not cheating unless bodily fluids are exchanged. All else is fantasy.

On the flip side that does mean that it is very smart or appropriate behavior.

Yes this is most definitely cheating... If I was in the situation where my wife was open to having sex with other people I would kick her *** to the Curb. If I wanted to ahve sex with other people I would get the hell out of my marriage.

Quite obviously this man needs to have a one on one encounter with Loraina Bobbitt...
That would teach him an extremely valuable lesson about being faithful to his wife...
Why the hell do men agree to the sacred vows of marriage if they have no intention of abiding by them for the rest of their lives?

It depends on what way you look at it. If it from the Christianity standpoint, then it is considered cheating. If you are looking at nature and genetics then it is natural. Besides, he is being truthful. Men are genetically prone to cheat.

I think so. But he hasn't done anything yet but he will if he said that. Never understood cheaters. Why get married if you are going to cheat?
