factors of 93 are 1, 3, 31, 93
factors of 126 are 1, 2, 3, 7, 126
factors of 225 are 1, 3, 5, 225

Therefore, the greatest common factor is 3

first you got to know whats a GCF
a GCF is the largest factor that two or more numbers have in common.

now you analyse all the numbers you got to there factors which are :

93= ±1,±3,±31,and ±93
126 = ±1,± 2 ,±3,±3,±6 ,±7, ±9, ±18, ± 21, ±42 and ±126
225 =± 1,±3,±3,±5,±5,±9, ±15, ±25, ±45, ±75 and ±225

now as you may see all the common factors are ±1, ±3
which are -3,-1,1,3
you tack the l largest of the greatest among them which is 3

93 was the clue. it factors to 3 * 31. 31 is prime, and doesn't go into 126 or 225. So 3 is all you can get.

Let's resolve each number into its prime factors.
93 = 3*31
126 = 2*3*3*7
225 = 3*3*5*5
As you can see, the greatest common factor of

The answer is easy, but greatest common factor is NOT what to call it. When I was at school it was called "highest common factor", but nobody uses that any more. Nowadays it should be called "greatest common divisor".
