Give him a big hug. Tell him I love him for who he is. Then take him on the tour of the city. We would stop at wal-mart assuming he is under 21. Buy him some good lube and an assortment of condoms. Then down to the local clinic. Show him where to get tested for HIV and other diseases. Also where he can find some good infomration on safe sex. Then down to a local resturant that does a fabulous brunch. Off to a couple local churches that support gays. Off to a local beuaty salon/spa. For a haircut anf treatmens like a good manicure. Then off shopping for a to die for outfit. Home to show and change. Then out for a dinner with friends to celebrate. Later that night to a club where guys his age are allowed. Last, a book on how to get rid of hang overs, and how to make gay relationship work.

Basically love and support him in his life. Be there to share every minute of it with him, as a parent shoudl do for thier child. No matter what age they come and tell you this. Be a loving parent.

Well my daughter is only 1 at the moment. But if she said this later on down the road. I'd be like " Join the club honey I've been Bi way before you were born lol" "And if you need someone to talk to my arms are open" And I'd still love her and accept her. You can't help who you love!

I would have to accept that. That is usually not something a person chooses. 'Gee, I want to be a pariah'. Most gays are born that way. Some animals in the wild have been observed having same-sex orientation. I would be sad that my child might not have biological off-spring, but I would love him or her just the same. They didn't ask to have that mutation.

I would love and accept them. I'd make sure they were well informed about gay issues, and encourage them to join a gay lesbian community center and a youth group. I would have serious, long and detailed conversations with them about safe sex and make sure that they know everything about staying disease and drug free.

I would continue to love and respect him/her. Love ought to be unconditional... this is the child I raised to be a good, kind-hearted person, now grown up. They know their own feelings and orientation, so who am I to deny them? I don't need to understand "Why", in order to accept them.

accept him/her.they can't help that they are that way.i know what it is like not to be accepted by family for the way I am but I can't change to make them feel better and neither can your son/daughter.it hurts to have your family deny who you are and I am sure you don't want to hurt your son/daughter.

I'd say "I love you" and that's all that matters. It's nobodies business who you sleep with, except for you and the person you sleep with.
