If it is more long-termish, re-read Pollyanna.

Put your favourite music up really loud, sing at the top of your voice and dance on top of the coffee table.
Have a drink and a good belly laugh with your closest friends.
Go for a walk, breathe deeply and appreciate the view.
Do something different - take a few risks - think outside the square.
Ring all the people you love, and tell them why you love them.
Count all your blessings, you'll be surprised how many there are.
Find a park with a gentle slope, then lie on your side and roll down it.
Go shopping - and buy someone you love an unexpected gift.
Go rollerblading.
Go bunjee jumping.
Take a nap outdoors in a hammock.
Get together with some friends and make silly prank phone calls.
......Maybe you'd better scratch that last one!

Try something new. Either a different way of doing something you already know, or trying something completely different.
You get a little rush of fear for going off into the unknown, you learn something new, and your mind forms new neural pathways around this fresh experience. You can feel good about yourself for your courage in going forward despite your fears, and the whole experience makes you feel more alive.
That's why I love the Internet- it's absolutely endless, and you can find ANYTHING there! I love learning new things!

It depends on the situation and whats available. In the past, to cheer myself up, I have purchased earrings, flowers, and chocolate. I have taken in a funny movie, gone on a walk, golfing, talked to friends, and asked my kids for hugs. Sometimes it is as simple as grooming myself to making a cup of tea. I'm sure there are other things in there, but getting out and taking in distractions and humor that I enjoy about life seems to help.

Pull out your pictures! You'll always smile b/c of a happy memory.
Take a long hot bubble bath & a glass of wine...relax & take care of yourself...recharge your soul...that always feels better!
Do something nice for somebody just out of the blue b/c you know they need cheering up. That's really cool! To make someone smile when they need it most. There's nothing like it!

if there is no hope, there is no faith,
if there in faith, there is no confidence, i
f there is no no confidence, there is no decison/goals,
if there is no decision/goals, there is no change,
if there is no change, there is no life.
Above all
to cheer up its not something external you are looking for but for something internal
that makes you the difference of living the true HAPPY, Challenge, any name you could give for there is life that rocks inner. do anything to invoke that true refreshing moment to experience change, change, and change alone can make you cheerful, because you decided that you want to cheer up and no
body decided for the same
that itself is a step for your next plan and be cheerful in any
situation
have a nice day!!!

Reinforce yourself. Reward yourself--that could be anything from exercise to ice cream to getting with a good friend.

Have a good laugh....it's honestly the best medicine. Watch a comedy, talk to a funny friend or read a comic book.
