Could you tell any difference before your period was late? I'm very impatient and want to know now! :-) Please tell me the first thing that happened that made you think "hmm, could I be pregnant?" Thanks!

before your periods is even missed/due there are sadly very few signs that you could be pregnant.

the baby will implant in your womb about 5-6 days before your period is due, you may note some pain at that time or a very small amount of spotting, & after then is the time to look out for any signals. so we are talking about week 3 in your cycle, after day 22-23 when the pregnancy hormone begins to rise within your body. its impossibel to feel anything before then as prior to that the baby is simply drifting within you & may not even implant.

early signals arent very reliable as in our wish or fear of pregnancy we will note every change in our bodys & wonder if its a sign... the biggest thing is to notice a change in your usual pms symptoms; ie. your boobs my not feel tender when they usually do at this time of the month or you may find yourself less moody than usual or you may be tearful for no reason. some women will have a strange taste in their mouths - often described as 'metalic' & some will note that the need to pee more often. whereas as others - usually ones who have already had one child, will just *know*.

my personal experience.
* baby 1 ~ i had no early waring, i did have some nausea & spotting in the 1st trimester as well as a hate for some smells, but i put that down to a head injury i suffered. i found out i was pregnant in the 3rd month at a checkup for something else, id loosened my belt one notch by then but still didnt realise why. LOL.
* baby 2 ~ i found out i was pregnant at 2 months, i had no pregnancy symptoms what-so-ever except that i didnt have a period - but my periods were always irregular.
baby 3 ~ i was on the contraceptive pill, & i wasnt even due my period for another 3 days when i told my friend that i *felt* pregnant. 3 days later i did the test & my feeling was correct. i didnt get any signs though - i just knew.
baby 4 ~ started bleeding during week 3 of my cycle. during week 4 i continued to bleed then started feeling bad nausea so i tested despite the fact that i was bleeding & discovered i was pregnant. i continued to bleed through week 6 before the bleeding stopped - my baby was just fine.

i hope this helps & i understand how dreadfully long that *2 week wait* feels. good luck & take care.

I knew with my pregnancies about 12-14 days before my next period was due. My first one wasn't planned, but I just had this feeling that I was! I need to pee slightly more, felt tired for no reason - and that essentially was it. The other thing that made me feel that way was a 'popping' sensation in my tummy area a few hours after intercourse and therefore just a day or two before the other symptoms

For me my appetite changed. I always knew before I missed a period or a test could tell me because I'd suddenly eat less or start craving certain foods alot more than normal. But then, me and my appetite always have issues with each other when I'm pregnant.

Well...I have been preggo before..so you may call it that "mother's intuition" thing.. I just kind of felt..so to say..pregnant.. The physical however were more tenderness in boobs..mine are usually okay. Just think to yourself if there are any unorthodox symptoms going on..Like if you do not normally get nausious..or if you usually have something else that isn't present.. Note changes..

I started having really sharp cramps a week before my period was due with both of my boys.

I just read Liyah's answer.. OMG I cried and cried over that stupid Dodge commercial "would you run into a burning building to save your kids, would you drive a mini van to save your kids?"... I sold my convertible...lmao
